Matrix diagram

We were asked to make a relationship diagram of the spaces that we will be considering in our design using the matrix method . This is my example. The red circles represent spaces that are close to one another, the blue spaces represent spaces that are not to close to one another and the light grey smaller circles represent spaces that are not close at all.

  1. This diagram explains very succinctly the way in which spaces are relatable. You might then further explore this diagram by continuing with an adjacency diagram and also exploring the spatial program for each space. Assigning specific square footage to each space will give the following diagrams greater meaning.
